How Water-Methanol Injection Works
Water-methanol injection introduces a fine mist into the intake stream before the air enters the combustion chamber. As the mixture vaporises, it absorbs heat from the incoming charge, helping reduce combustion temperatures and suppress detonation. For properly tuned engines, this can support increased boost pressure and ignition timing while helping lower exhaust gas temperatures during demanding operation.
