When using high-performance Methanol racing fuels like VP M1 or VP M5, it is crucial to consider the use of an Additive. M2 our signature upper cylinder Lubricant additive can offer added protection against wear and corrosion, as well as aid in maintaining engine efficiency and power output. M2 can potentially enhance engine reliability, optimize performance, and prolong the life of race engines. M2 can be found HERE
VP M1 stands as 99.5% pure methanol, meeting legal standards for all motorsport applications. On the other hand, VP M5 is meticulously crafted for amplified horsepower and torque, although it isn't entirely pure methanol.
Notably, VP M5 outperforms other racing methanol's in power. It's important to note that tuning adjustments are necessary when switching from M1 or pure methanol to M5. Additionally, ensure that the use of VP M5 complies with the regulations in your racing category or class.
Methanol racing fuel grade offers several advantages, including higher octane ratings, improved engine cooling properties, and the potential for increased horsepower. It also burns more cleanly than traditional gasoline, reducing emissions and minimizing carbon build-up in the engine.
