VP ProGrade SAE 10w-40 oil is a professional grade full synthetic racing oil. We use leading-edge chemistry to formulate it for success. It's designed for race track applications. We engineer it to deliver superior durability and friction control. As a result, you get maximum power and protection. It's perfect for professionals, semi-pro, and high-intensity amateur racers.

At the same time, ProGrade SAE 10w-40 synthetic motor oil is not compatible with top-fuel/nitro drag racing. Additionally, it is not suitable for catalytic converters, which are found in most street cars. Furthermore, DO NOT mix oil additive supplements with the VP Professional Grade Full Synthetic Racing Oils.

The VP Advantage
VP applies a 3-pronged approach to lubricant design for remarkably stable oils. Our approach allows race engines of all types to achieve extraordinary performance and durability:

  • Firstly, we use select base oils with polar characteristics to improve viscosity. As a result, the oil clings markedly better to metal components.
  • Secondly, we add a balance of multiple anti-wear chemistries to the oil beyond high levels of ZDDP (zinc). These chemistries adhere to metal surfaces and provide outstanding wear protection.
  • Thirdly, we include unique friction modifiers. This reduces fluid-to-fluid friction and surface friction between the oil and moving metal components. Subsequently, you get more horsepower and torque.

    • Multiple engine builders, including Al Moody Race Engines, have performed dyno tests of VP’s engine oils. They have documented real horsepower gains. Moreover, many of these same engine builders have performed documented video teardowns to inspect wear on engines. The engines ranged from 355 cubic inch dirt track motors to 3,000hp big block marine engines. Afterward, the engine internals look virtually new and can be reused beyond traditional replacement intervals.
