VP Classic® SAE 80w90 GL-4 Getriebeöl ist ein API GL-4 Schmiermittel. Wir entwerfen es für die Verwendung mit 'gelben Metallen' (Bronze, Messing, Kupfer). What Is GL-4 Gear Oil Designed For?
GL-4 gear oil is designed for synchronized manual transmissions and transaxles that use “yellow metals” such as brass, bronze, and copper. These softer metals are commonly found in synchronizers, bushings, thrust washers, and other transmission components that require controlled protection and compatibility.
WHY YELLOW METAL COMPATIBILITY MATTERS
Some higher extreme pressure gear oils can be too aggressive for certain yellow metal components used in manual transmissions. GL-4 gear oil is formulated to provide the protection required for synchronized gearboxes while maintaining compatibility with these softer metals.
