MODERATELY OXYGENATED FUEL
tuning info
Moderate oxygen content increases combustion efficiency.
Requires a slight increase in fuel volume.
Tuning adjustments are mild compared to high-oxygen race fuels.
What is Oxygen Content?
Oxygen content refers to the amount of oxygen within the fuel itself. Higher oxygen content allows more complete combustion, increasing power potential while requiring additional fuel delivery to prevent lean conditions.

Requires More Fuel Volume Than Standard Petrol
Tuning Info
Lower stoichiometric AFR requires increased fuel delivery versus standard petrol.
Moderate oxygen content may require additional enrichment under load.
Use lambda for accurate tuning across different fuels.
What is Stoichiometric Air-Fuel Ratio?
The stoichiometric air-fuel ratio defines the ideal mixture for complete combustion. Different fuels require different ratios, meaning fuel delivery must be adjusted during tuning to maintain correct combustion and performance.
SPECIFIC GRAVITY

0.70 Specific Gravity Comparison 0.80
ROO102 0.714
Pump 98 0.750
ROO102 is less dense than pump fuel, requiring increased fuel volume.
Tuning Info
Lower density reduces fuel mass per volume.
Increase fuel delivery to maintain target AFR.
What is Specific Gravity?
Specific gravity measures the density of the fuel relative to water. It determines how much fuel mass is delivered for a given volume. Lower density fuels deliver less fuel mass per volume, which can cause a lean condition if not corrected.
Reid Vapour Pressure
7.65 PSI
HIGHER FUEL VOLATILITY
tuning info
Higher vapour pressure increases fuel evaporation characteristics.
Can improve cold start and initial response.
Monitor fuel system behaviour under heat to avoid vapour-related issues.
What is Reid Vapour Pressure?

RVP Measures the volatility of a fuel and how readily it evaporates at a given temperature.

In forced induction applications, a lower RVP resists vaporisation under boost, reducing the risk of vapour lock. Naturally aspirated engines benefit from a higher RVP, where easier vapourisation improves atomisation and throttle response.
